Utah Geriatric Education Consortium (UGEC) hosted an all-day, virtual Annual Retreat on Thursday, May 20th to celebrate the progress of its programs, and to discuss plans for the future. The event kicked-off with a keynote address by Dr. Karen Lindsey Marshall, National Alliance of Caregivers, who spoke about dementia care in LTSS settings, followed by Dr. Mark Supiano's presentation, What's Good for the Heart is Good for the Mind: The SPRINT-MIND Study Results, for the Age-Friendly LTSS ECHO program. In the afternoon, the LTSS Nurse Residency Program had a graduation for the nurse residents, during which there was a poster fair so the nurses could share their QAPI projects.
