HCI made a commitment in July 2020 to actively counter racism and established a Commission on EDI after George Floyd’s murder sparked a national movement. Commission co-chairs Brad Cairns, PhD, HCI chief academic officer, and Kola Okuyemi, MD, MPH, HCI senior director of equity, diversity, and inclusion presented a summary of the EDI Commission’s recommendations at the town hall. The presentation included the EDI Commission’s report and how HCI will implement and sustain long-term critical actions.
