Adam Van Tuyl (McMaster University)Title: Recent results on geometrically vertex decomposable idealsAbstract: Geometrically vertex decomposable ideals are an ideal-theoretic generalization of the vertex decomposability property for simplicial complexes. This class of ideals was introduced in 2021 by P. Klein and J. Rajchgot, using the geometric vertex decomposition property introduced by A. Knutson, E. Miller, and A. Yong. In this talk I will provide an introduction to this class of ideals, and describe their basic properties. I will also discuss some recent results of myself, T. Nguyen, and J. Rajchgot on the regularity, a-invariant, and multiplicity of geometrically vertex decomposable ideals
