During this
session, we will provide strategies and tips to ensure a successful and satisfying tele-visit, including
inclusivity, preparation, privacy concerns, time of visit tips, technology, and follow-up. We will also
share our patient resource “20 Things to Know about Telehealth”. Please invite your patients, families
and caregivers who are interested or likely to receive remote health care services. We look forward to
learning patients’ responses to being invited to an ECHO session! Providers of remote services are
encouraged to attend to provide additional context, detail and best practices that are helpful to
patients, families and caregivers. In addition, staff from nursing and assisted living facilities, and home
health settings are strongly encouraged to attend.
Session Objectives
• Know your options and rights for including others in a tele-visit
• List appropriate uses of a tele-visit and situations when it is best to request an in-person visit
• Walk through a preparation check list to get the most from your tele-visit
• Consider best practices to ensure you (patient, family or caregiver) get what you need during
the visit
