Rob Ence is the Executive Director of the Utah Commission on Aging
(UCOA), and connects research, public policy, and community resources on
behalf of older adults. He also manages the Bateman Horne Center, a non-profit clinic and research practice specializing in myalgic encephalomyelitis
or chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and other post-viral syndromes.
Ence earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Business
Administration (MBA) from the University of Utah. He served for nearly a
decade as the Utah State Director for AARP, and thereafter as the West
Regional Vice President. Ence has lectured on financial security and other
older adult issues and served on several boards of directors, including
Comagine Health, Envision Utah, the Alzheimer’s Association Utah Chapter,
the Community Counseling Center, and the Repertory Dance Theater.
